Grace Joan Agnes Grant (nee MacDonald), died peacefully at the Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, P.E.I., surrounded by her family, on January 29, 2015.
Mother is survived by her children Dan (Marian), Andrea and Dr. James of Port Alberni, B.C. Joan had five grandchildren: Kara (Jamie Whynacht), Alastair, Patrick, Krista and Liam; and great-granddaughter, Lucy Raye. Also survived by her sister, Stephanie; brothers, Dr. Lewis and Dr. Venon (Roberta); and sisters-in-law, Imelda (Dr. Doug) MacDonald and Jean Andres.
Joan was predeceased by her husband and partner in adventure, Dr. Raymie; and infants, Mary, Katherine and David; parents, Billy Archie and Agnes MacDonald; sister, Inez; brothers, Dr. Doug and Billy; and sister-in-law, Marion (Lew).
Mom took great pleasure in the visits with her grandchildren here on P.E.I. and in Port Alberni.
Special thanks to the staff of Beach Grove Home for the kind and gentle care given to our Mother during her stay with them.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Monday at 9:30 a.m., Then to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown, P.E.I. Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. or Beach Grove Home (Patient Fund).
