Marion Cavell Tough

Marion, eldest daughter of the late Joyce and Maxwell Bixby, entered into rest at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Friday, January 30, 2015. Mourning their loss is her husband David; daughter, Tammy (Myles) and grandson, Tyler Scott, of Portugal Cove/St. Phillips; son, David Tough (Shelly) and grandson, Michael, of Ottawa, ON.; sisters: Marjorie of St. John's, NL, and Marie Head (Alvin) of Lantz, NS.; as well as several nieces and nephews; also, her four special sisters who carried her throughout her journey: Daphne Green of Winterton, Daphne Pitcher of Mount Pearl, Michelle Fitzgerald and Donna Thorne both of Torbay. Marion will be fondly remembered by her clients over the years as proprietress of Marion's Hair Design, many of whom stayed in touch with her until her passing. Floral tributes are most graciously declined, however, Marion asked that anyone wishing to honor her memory, make a donation to the Salvation Army St. John's Temple Band. Envelopes for that purpose will be found at the Funeral Home, and in The Temple foyer at the Funeral Service. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 1, from 12noon-9pm. Funeral service to be held at The Salvation Army St. John's Temple, 101 Torbay Road, on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00am, followed by cremation and private committal of ashes at a later date. Friends are invited to a reception and sharing of memories at The Temple following the service. Marion's family and friends wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the beautiful staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A.
