COTTREAU, Joseph “Joe” Rubin – age 81, of Lower Wedgeport, passed away on February 16, 2015 at home. Born in Lower Wedgeport, he was a son of the late Andrew and Virginia (Boudreau) Cottreau. Joe worked as a boat builder. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Surette) Cottreau, Lower Wedgeport; daughter, Dawn d'Entremont, Lower Wedgeport; stepson, Farrell (Marg) Higby, Yarmouth; sisters, Zelma (Ernie) Pothier, Milda Boudreau and Alice Jacquard, all of Wedgeport; Dorothy (Billy) Boudreau, Oklahoma; Violet (Don) Gaudet, Halifax; brother, Melvin (Marilyn) Cottreau, Wedgeport, grandchildren, Julien, Chelsea and Allie d'Entremont and Farrell Higby Jr.. He was predeceased by his siblings, Isreal, John and Anna. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Wedgeport. By request of the family there was no visitation. A funeral mass was held at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport on Friday, February 20 at 2:30 p.m. Father Albeni d'Entremont officiated.
