Mildred Joan Terrio
April 8, 1921 – February 24, 2015
The family wishes to announce her peaceful passing at the Northumberland Hall, Amherst on February 24, 2015 with family at her side.
Born in Joggins, Mildred was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
Mildred was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her children dearly. Mildred was a wonderful grandmother and loving sister. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed life in the community. She was an active member of her church and the CWL until her later years.
Mildred is survived by and will be dearly missed by her three sons, Robert (Muriel), Roger (Linda) and Gerald (Roseanna) and two daughters, Donna (late Rael) Hache and Anne (Jim) Lacey. Brother, David Boudreau and sister, Eleanor Boudreau. Twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband Jude; brothers, Edgar, Arthur, William and Leon; sisters, Melissa Boudreau, Gladys Mills, Irene Boudreau and Priscilla Devine.
She was a deeply religious person and had great faith in St. Anne de Beaupré.
Her remains are resting at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visitation on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Reception will follow in the parish hall.
Interment will take place in the spring beside her husband in the St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie, NS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mildred’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
