Raymonde "Rae" Therens

Raymonde “Rae” Therens, aged 64 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, March 2nd, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Simone Bonneville; and sisters, Paulette Clark and Suzanne Brooks. Rae will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael (Virginnia) and Steven (Melanie); daughter, Michelle (Chad) Hrechka; grandchildren: Mitchell, Peter, Madison, Hailey, Emma, Jada, Thea, Suri, Alec and Andrew; as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Rae was born in Ponteix, SK in 1950. Her family moved with her to Moose Jaw in the late 1950’s where she attended grade school and attended high school at Riverview Collegiate. She worked in her early years at the Providence Hospital. She later moved to Vancouver, BC where she worked at a south Vancouver hospital and various other jobs. While in Vancouver, she married Wayne Therens on November 14th, 1970 at St. Peters Church in New Westminster and started a family. In 1980 Rae, Wayne and all 3 kids moved back to Saskatchewan where she commenced working with the Department of National Defense. She continued her career at 15 Wing Moose Jaw as a Logistics Specialist with the NFTC Program at Bombardier Aerospace. The love of Rae’s life will be and will always be her 3 children and 10 grandchildren; she would relish in their accomplishments and share in life’s joys with them. She would glow reminiscing about them to anyone that would listen. Rae will be forever loved and deeply missed by anyone she touched.

In keeping with Rae’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Rae’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
