CONNELLY, Arthur Gerard Jr. "Butch" - 67 of Digby, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital with family at his side. Born on March 11, 1947 he was son of the late Arthur and Katherine(LeBlanc) Connelly. Butch retired after 30 years with the Provincial Government, and was a Member of the Digby and Area Lions Club. Left with fond and loving memories is his life partner of 22 years Bonnie Handspiker; son Craig (Elaine), Digby, NS; step-daughter Crystal (Bill), Oromocto, NB; step-sons Adam (Laura); Ian (Vicky); brother Richard (Evelyn), all of Digby NS; brother Paul, Calgary, AB; brother John (Cathy), St. Stephen, NB; sisters Jacqueline (Wayne McRae), Halifax and Elizabeth (Luke Grant), Bedford; as well as six grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be scheduled for August. Donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
