Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 8th of March 2015, Minnie Mae Genge of Anchor Point in her 99th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons James (Susie-deceased), Rufus (Sophia), Cecil (Olivia), and Rendell (Bertha); daughters Marion (Steve), Bernice (Winston), Mildred (Cyril), and Eleanor (Robert-deceased); 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Annie Field, Casandra Penney, Amelia Nichols, and Virtue Mouland as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Genge, granddaughter Petrina Genge, grandson Rufus Genge, mother Amelia Field, father James Field, sisters Else, Rhoda, and Dora, and brothers Arthur, Sandy, and George, son-in-law Robert and daughter-in-law Susie. Visitation was held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 with Reverend Irving Letto officiating. Interment followed at the old Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
