It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Bertram Coish announce his passing at his residence on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, his loving wife of 57 years, Bertha (nee Thoms); daughters, Rhonda Murphy and Brenda McCarthy (Wade Pye); sons, Barry and David; grandsons, Christopher McCarthy, Rily Murphy (Sarah), and Jordan Murphy; grand-daughter, Krystal Pye; great-grandson Remy, sisters, Marjorie (Neville Kean), Sylvia (Roger Flood), and Donna (Gary Guinchard); brothers, Wilf (Joan) and Melvin (Beatrice); brothers in law, Roland Thoms (Lorna), John Thoms, Winston Thoms (Olive), Allan Thoms, and Cecil Parsons (Predeceased by Shirley), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Morley & Greta Coish; parents in law, Charles & Marjorie Thoms, and Linda Thoms; nephews, Bobby and Jerry Thoms. Special mention of his dear buddy Karma and deceased pal Trapper. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday from 2-4:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street, officiated by Marilyn Avery. In keeping with Bert's wishes cremation will take place with interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Parkinson Society NL or The First United Church Restoration Fund.
