It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of Joseph Hines, 68, of Ingonish Ferry, on March 25, 2015, at the QE II Infirmary, with loving family at his side.
Born in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Charles and Ann (Donovan) Hines.
In his early years he worked for Mackerel Rock Fish Trap at Ingonish Ferry, lobster fished for a time and worked at Wreck Cove for a number of years taking water samples for the environment as well as mapping the lakes. He was a fish buyer for Claude Moore at the wharf in Ingonish Ferry and for the past 22 years he worked at Keltic Lodge as a painter and truck driver delivering goods on the property until his retirement last year.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Linda; sons, Adam (Kim), Matthew (Amber); sister Agnes-Aggie (Joey Proctor); brothers, John (Nancy), Tom (Janet), George (Arlene); brothers-in-law, Brian, John, Tim, George, Wallace and Ryan and mother-in-law Lillian Donovan.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by father-in-law Art Donovan.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date.
