It is with great sadness that the family of Jennie Ruth Fage age 76, of Amherst announce her passing on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Davida (McFadden) Berry.
Jennie worked at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst in the Domestic Department for many years and also did homecare for 9 years in the Amherst area.
She is survived by her husband Harold, three daughters Margaret (Wayne) Van Snick, Chris Fage and Lois Fage all of Amherst, one son Stephen Fage
(Kim Ford) of Amherst, sisters Peggy Woodworth of BC, Leta Briggs and Sarah Ward both of Alberta and Sharon Taylor of Amherst, one brother William Berry of Calgary, AB. seven grandchildren Kirsten Richard, Taylor Richard, Shaelin Fage, Samantha Fage, Savannah Fage, Terri Van Snick and Christopher Ford, two great grandsons Bronson Elliott and Carter Cormier and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Jennie was predeceased by a brother Leonard, sisters Charlotte Ward, Doreen Holland, Nellie Berry, Muriel Brine, Mabel Fagan and Verlie Brine and Eileen and Deloris in infancy and brother Raymond Berry.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (902-667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Mr. Charles Hurley officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jennie’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
