Mom loved children and had a special place in her heart for her great nieces Julia, Rebecca and Claire and great nephew Hudson as well as Hudson's dad Harold. Also left to mourn mom's passing are brothers Ron Picco and Dave Picco (Jesse). Sisters Geraldine Picco, Theresa Griffen (Dan), Josephine Picco (Johnny), Jane White (Gary), Noreen Green and Marl Lake. Mom also leaves behind a treasured lifelong friend Art Stoyles as well as special nieces Vanessa and Natasha and nephew Arthur. Many other loved and cherished nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends will also miss mom's warmth and silent strength. Special thanks to Dr. Dawson and nurse Cathy for the 13 years of exceptional care, support and encouragement that they provided to our mother during her brave, unwavering battle. To the wonderful angels at the L.A Miller Center Palliative Care, words cannot express how you not only provided comfort to our mother, but to us as well. Your actions will forever be remembered. Our mother was a very strong-willed brave woman who gave the best of herself to every life she touched. May we honor her memory by living our lives with a strong sense of family and love for one another as she has loved us. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. To be brave is to cry
But still to fight on,
And that's what you did
Our hero, our mom.

The battle was hard
We thought we had won,
But still you fought on
Our hero, our mom.

The happiness you brought
To the lives you have touched,
Will live on forever
As you are loved so much.
