It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 14, 2015, Francis Stewart Whalen age 82 years of Carmanville. Predeceased by his parents; John and Susanna Whalen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Maisie, sons; Brian (Sandra) of Kitchener, Ont, Tony (Angelina) of Carmanville, Rodney of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Jeffery (Tammy) of Guelph, Ont, Norman (Lori) of Frederickton, Trevor (Krista) of Carmanville, daughter; Betty-Ann (Patrick) of Noggin Cove, brothers; Ralph (Effie) of Carmanville, Scott (Vivian) of Carmanville, sister; Ruth (Harris Bemister) of Musgrave Harbour, grandchildren; Stacey, Diana, Cody, Jessica, Brianna, Noah, James, Austin, Christine, Azeez, Khadijah, Aliyah, Hannah, Elijah, Rayna, Landon, great grandson; Hunter and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on April 17, 2015 at The Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville with Major Topping officiating. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Carmanville.
