Dorothy Edna (Cameron) Murphy

Murphy, Dorothy Edna (Cameron) – formerly of Earltown, passed away April 19, 2015 at Willow Lodge Home for Special Care in Tatamagouche with family by her side. Born in Earltown, January 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Effie B. (Hayman) Ferguson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jackie Cameron; second husband, Alburn Murphy; son, Roland Murphy; two daughters in infancy. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Vernon) Veno; Elizabeth (Dennis) Myers; Joan (Wayne) Barbrick; Gwen Murphy; Roxanne (James) MacKenzie; Loretta (Paul) Allen; son, Billy (Eunice) Murphy; The loves of her life, her eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; sisters, Chris Townsend; Irene Ferguson; brother, Harold (Barb). She was predeceased by brothers, Henry (Jean); Alex (Minnie); Donald (Betty); sisters, Janet (Ken); Kay (Burton); Frances (Jimmy); Anna (Norman); Evelyn (Ray); brother-in-law, Jimmy Townsend. Mom loved to play cards, watch the birds and listen to old time music. She loved to bake and was well known for her wonderful meals that she seemed to make from nothing at all. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. No visitation or funeral service at this time. A graveside service will be held in the springtime in Earltown Village Cemetery with day and time to be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to Earltown Village Cemetery, Canadian Diabetes Association or Willow Lodge would be appreciated. The family would like to thank everyone at Willow Lodge for the loving care given to mom during her stay there.
