Theodore (Ted) Hatcher

It is with great sadness that the death of Theodore (Ted) Hatcher age 93 of Amherst occurred on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born December 9th, 1921 in North Sydney, NS, he was a son of the late Theodore and Amelia (Hamilton) Hatcher.
Theodore served 2 years in the Second World War, then worked as a stevedore in Cape Breton before moving to Toronto. In Toronto he was employed as the supervisor in the making of washers & dryers with the Inglis Company, retiring after 34 years of service.

He is survived by his siblings, Hilda Purves, Sydney Mines, NS; & a brother Stanley, Vancouver BC; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his wife the former, Margaret (Peggy) Lewis; siblings; Loretta Hill, Edith Giles, Daniel, Clayton and Gordon.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
A public graveside service will be held at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anglican, Christ Church, Amherst NS, or the charity of your choice.
