GOREHAM, Capt. Jack Carl, 76, of Woods Harbour passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. He was a son of the Late Helston and Ora (Adams) Goreham. Jack was a fisherman for sixty-two years and recently retired. He loved nature, watching birds, walking on the trail with his friends and his flower gardens. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sandra (Messenger); daughter, Sharon (Sid) Scott; son, Trevor; brother, Garry; sisters Alma Walker, Peggy d’Entremont; brother-in-law, Harley Durkee, Ont; grandsons, Justin (Sheena), Alberta; Jordan (Emily), Beaverdam; granddaughters, Candace, Nfld.; Sydney, Barrington; great-grandson, Quinn, Alberta. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Robert, John, Chesley; sisters, Hattie, Alice and Irma. There will be a visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, at the Calvary United Baptist Church, Woods Harbour, with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Reception to follow after service in the church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Woods Harbour. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to ALS Society or a charity of your choice.
