BURRILL, Terrence “Terry” Joseph Sr. – age 71, South East Street, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015 at home. Born May 24, 1943 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Ken and Kay (Saulnier) Burrill. Terry worked in the grocery industry for most of his life and will be remembered as a familiar face at Yarmouth South Red & White, from where he retired a few years ago. Terry was a huge wrestling fan having earned the nickname Killer Burrill, as well as a fan of Stompin’ Tom Connors. He is survived by his wife Jackie (Schofield), as well as by his children: daughter, Susan (Jim) Quinlan; son, Terry Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica, Chad, Regan and Tiffany; brother, Kenny (Diane); sisters, Sharon (Terry) Ryan, Lynn (Richard) Sisco and Karen (Bill) Rhyno-Betts as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ken Burrill, his mother, Kay (Saulnier) Burrill and by his beloved sister, June (Donnie) Jayne. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation by request. The funeral was held Saturday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, William Street, Yarmouth, Rev. Helen Chandler officiated. Burial took place Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation, Holy Trinity Church, the Canadian Red Cross or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to H. M.
