Ripley, Lina C. – Age 83, of Parrsboro passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Harrison Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Varley and Clara (Yorke) Quinn. Lina was a graduate of Truro Normal College, and taught school for many years. She served as a Justice of the Peace. She was a life member of the Parrsboro Baptist Church and the Parrsboro Golf Club. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by a son, Allan (Catherine), Parrsboro; sisters-in-law, Marina Quinn, New Prospect; Janice Quinn, Lakelands; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. As well, her companion, Don Harrison, Fox River. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas in 1998; a sister, Dora; brothers, Allison, Keith, Cyril. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Parrsboro Baptist Church, Rev. Emmanuel Mutale officiating.
