It is with deep sorrow that the family of Bridget “B” Monica Spence (Crosby) announce her quiet passing on May 15th, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, while surrounded by her family at the young age of 58.
Born on January 8th, 1957 in Dominion, NS. B is the daughter of the late Graham and Peg Crosby.
Her early life was spent in Dominion, NS were she grew up surrounded by her loving family. She left Cape Breton to study nursing at the Aberdeen Hospital in 1976. Upon graduation, she began her career as a nurse at the All Saints Springhill Hospital. While living in Springhill, she met Tim and it was love at first sight. B and Tim were married on July 4th, 1981 and had two boys Christopher (Hayley) and Daniel (Manon). B always loved holding hands with Tim, "coaching" softball, lounging in her pool, playing barbies with her granddaughter Ceilidh and spending as much time with her family as possible.
B was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and brought so much happiness into everyone's life. She will be sadly missed by her husband Tim of Springhill; sons Chris (Hayley) and Daniel (Manon) of Springhill; granddaughter Ceilidh of Springhill; brother Andy Crosby (Mel) of Halifax; sister Shirley Fogarty (Jim) of Dominion; brother Raymond Crosby (Gary) of London; brother Paul Crosby (Carole) of Dominion; brother Adam Crosby (Theresa) of Dominion; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Aside from her parents, B was predeceased by her Mother-In-Law Margaret Spence of Springhill and sister Peggy Day of Halifax.
Arrangements have been entrusted to AH Brown’s Funeral Service, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held.
If so desired, donations can be made in B's name to the ICU at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst, NS to honour the quality of care she received.
