Barbara Belle Pederson, age 71, of Springdale, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center (CNRHC) in Grand Falls-Windsor. Born on June 2, 1943 in Twillingate, NL, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Marjorie Strong. She is survived by her husband Dave Pederson; her sons, Richard (Darlene) of Hantsport, NS and Daniel (Paula-Lynn) of Halifax, NS; her daughter Kimberly (Calvin Roberts) of Riverview, NB; her sister Carolyn Molson; her brothers Bill Strong (Pansy), Ted Strong, Haddon Strong (Marilyn) and Gerry Strong (Shari); her grandchildren Tia, Kira and Danaan Pederson, Katie and Melanie Roberts, Marceline Pederson, Katrina, Austin and Jacob Donovan. Barbara was a summer resident of Hantsport for the past fourteen years. The memorial service was held in Springdale, NL on May 17, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated in memory of Barbara.
