Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, Quebec on Friday, May 22, 2015 of Wilna J. Toombs of North Rustico, aged 65 years.
Born in Summerside December 17, 1949, daughter of the late John and Annie (Somers) Burgoyne.
Wife of Gordon Toombs. Mother of Brian Toombs and Barry Toombs (Bethany Cousins). Grandmother of Dawson, Briann and Brooklynn Toombs. Mother-in-law of Lori MacKinnon. Sister of Ellis Burgoyne, Horace (Ruby) Burgoyne, Layton (Jean) Burgoyne, Elaine Burgoyne (Raymond), Willis Burgoyne, Jaret (Joslin) Burgoyne, Irma (Danny) Nisbet, Lloyd Burgoyne, Lorne Burgoyne (Audrey Cole) and Wendell Burgoyne. Sister-in-law of Ronald Toombs and Diane (Elmer) Redmond. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Vivian Toombs; sister, Mildred Heater; sisters-in-law, Ruth Burgoyne and Heather Toombs; niece, Kathy Broderson; and nephews, Dale Burgoyne and George Burgoyne.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in the Cavendish Cemetery.
