Malcolm (Mac) Dale Hadden
June 26th, 1953 – May 18th, 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of Mac’s passing. He passed away on May 18th in Calgary after a “short” but hard fought battle with Cancer. Mac was born on June 26th, 1953, the oldest son of Dale and Vi Hadden in Arcola, Saskatchewan. Mac was an avid Sports fan and participated in everything from wrestling to golf, but hockey was his passion. He played goal for many teams all over the country. He was a plumber by trade and was willing to help anyone with that and always reminded the kids “If you are helping me, don’t lick your fingers.”
Mac was a free spirit, and felt as free as the wind on his face when he was riding his Honda Gold Wing! Whether he was riding through the mountains or across the Saskatchewan Prairies he was happy. Mac was a social butterfly; there was not a place he went that he didn’t know someone. He had a great memory and never forgot anyone or anything. He was a crossword and Jeopardy champ! Mac had a huge heart and loved his family unconditionally!
Mac was predeceased by his Grandparents Shef and Annabelle Hadden, and George and Charlotte Frazer. He was also predeceased by his Dad and best friend Dale in 1997. Left to cherish his memory, his loving mother Vi Hadden, and Wendy Thomas his soul mate, his rock, and the love of his life. Also left to mourn are his four children, Heather (Kyle) Johnson, Trevor (Amy) Hadden, Kyle Hadden, and Stephanie Hadden (Jordan). His four grandchildren the lights of his life, Liam, Ayla, and Eden Johnson and Cole Hadden. His best friends and siblings, Luke Hadden, Kim Hadden, Cindy (Jim) Telke, Robert Hadden, Scot (Fran) Hadden, Christine (Dave) Lamb, Tara (Terry) Redmond, Josh (Jen) Hadden, and many nieces and nephews who thought the world of “Uncle Mac”. Many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins and Wendy’s children and grandchildren. Even though his ride here on earth is over his big heart, quick wit, and loving ways will ride on with us forever!

The celebration of Mac’s life will be held in Calgary on June 13th, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Deer Run Community Association.
