James Cyril White, age 74, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Stellarton passed away May 25, 2015 in the Manor.
Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late James A. and Irene W. (Hodgkins) White.
Jim was a resident of Stellarton all of his life, the past 20 years he had resided in the Birch Hill Senior Citizens. He was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton and had worked for many years with Joe Stewart as a brick layers helper. He enjoyed time that he spent at his camp and he was a huge Montreal Canadiens fan.
He is survived by brothers: Cliff, Stellarton; Joe, New Brunswick; Jack (Erma), Ontario; sisters-in-law Carolyn White and Fern White; special nieces Irene (Calvin) Logan, Francis White and Judy (David) Cameron, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters Alice MacDonald and Pearl Cleary; brothers: Frank, Herb, Bob, Bill, Brent, Edward, Kenny and Clary.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in Christ Anglican Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton.
