BOUDREAU, Alice Theresa (née Pothier) - Born October 1, 1925. The family of Alice Boudreau (née Pothier) is saddened to announce her passing on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Alice was the daughter of the late Siméon and Alma (Boudreau) Pothier of Plymouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. Alice was well known in her community for her culinary skills. She managed and was “head chef” of the Wedgeport Consolidated School Cafeteria for many years and did some private catering as well. Her other passions included playing Bridge and Canasta, quilting and being socially active in community affairs. In her later years, she received much joy from taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren and then her great grandkids. Left to cherish her memory are Alice’s children: William (Irene), Rebecca (Brian), Larry (Normande), Betty Ann (Michael), and Wayne (Patsy); grandchildren: Jessica, Alain, Cynthia and André; and great-grandchildren: Dawson, Drake, Dylon, Jacob and Vincent. Surviving are her siblings: Eleanor (Lawrence), Betty, Ernest (Shirley) and Arthur (Anne). Her husband, George V. Boudreau, brother James and sister Dorothy predeceased her. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Wedgeport, with prayers at 8 p.m. The funeral mass was held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 19 at Église Saint-Michel, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiatied. Donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (Atlantic Region) or to a charity of your choice. The family extends its gratitude to the staffs of Villa Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Vancouver Place Seniors Residence, as well as to Dr. Roland Muise and his staff for taking such good care of their Mother these past few years.
