Cheryl Lee Gardiner

Born In: Ontario

Passed in: Fort McMurray

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cheryl Lee Gardiner in Fort McMurray, Alta.
Cheryl was born in Ontario and spent most of her life in New Waterford.
In 2010, Cheryl and her children (duckies), Christopher and Caitlyn moved to Fort McMurray for a better future. She was the daughter of Jerry and Jean (Green) Gardiner. Cheryl’s greatest accomplishments were her children, who will remain living in Fort McMurray in their wonderful home they all built together.
Cheryl was an amazing mother, woman, and friend who was well respected in the workplace. If you needed someone to grab life by the horns, she was your girl. Cheryl’s dreams were to take her children on family vacations, which she was able to do over the past few years to California, Dominican Republic, Florida and Mexico. She also had a great love for her dogs, Holly, Renne, Riley and Abby.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Keith Moore; children, Christopher and Caitlyn Gardiner; her parents, Jean and Jerry Gardiner; sister Kim Gillis (Michael); nephew Jonathan Gillis (Ashley), nieces, Sarah and Jessica Gillis as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cheryl was predeceased by her nephew Jordan Gillis and aunt Sheron Gardiner.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford on Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 8-11a.m. with funeral mass to follow in the parish church, Mount Carmel Avenue, at 11a.m. July 4, 2015, with Fr. Paul McGillivray officiating.
