Wayne L. Ripley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne L. Ripley, age 75, of Amherst on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Southampton, he was the youngest son of the late Benjamin and Catherine (Brown) Ripley, formerly of Southampton.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, the former Pauline Goodwin; daughters, Patty-Wayne, Shelley, Louise; step daughters, Buffy and Pennee; step son, Roy; grandson, Neil, whom he thought of as a son; several grandchildren; sisters, Jessie, Connie, Gloria; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy; two sisters, four brothers.
Wayne was a self-employed car salesman for many years, and owned and operated a catering business for several years in the early 1980s. He loved spending time with his family and longtime friends playing pool/snooker. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
There will be no visitation or funeral by request. Interment will be a private family service in the Southampton Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Nursing Staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre for their care, kindness and compassion to the family.
Also, special thanks to Amy Thurston, Palliative Care Coordinator and Dr. Brian Ferguson.
