It is with heavy hearts that the families of Edgar Woolfrey Upwards announce his passing at Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Point, NL, on Saturday July 25, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Joyce nee Knott, his daughters: Brenda (Sean), and Kim (Ernie), and his son: Dexter (Rhonda), his grandchildren: Matthew (Natalie), Adam (Jessica), Luke, Cole, & Matthew (Jessica), his great-grandchildren: David and Lily, his sisters: Elizabeth Hussey, & Lorraine Upwards (Eric) Milley, his sister-in-laws: Dora (Bert), Linda (Eric), Joan (Norm), Gladys (Bryce), Bertha, & Ann. Predeceased by his mother and father George and Abigail, his mother and father-in-law Wallace and Myrtle Knott. Also Predeceased by his 6 brothers and 4 brother-in-laws. Also leaving behind a special nephew and friend Elliot Upwards (Lucy) and also a large circle of nieces and nephews, relatives and other family, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family friends on Sunday, July 26, 2015, from the hours of 7:00 - 9:00 pm, and continuing on Monday, July 27th, 2015, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Shoal Brook United Church, Shoal Brook, NL, where also the funeral service will be taking place on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating with the burial to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Shoal Brook, NL.
