Nellie Bradley
BRADLEY, Nellie Anastasia (nee Kozun)
On Saturday, July 25, 2015, Nellie Bradley passed away at the age of 97 at the Regina Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home. Nellie was born and raised on a farm near Ituna, Sk. She moved to Regina at the age of 14 to find work as a housekeeper and later as a waitress and pastry cook. Nellie married Albert Bradley in 1940 and resided in Moose Jaw until 1952. She operated a receiving home for numerous foster children until they were adopted. Three of these children remained an integral part of the family. She spent 6 1/2 years in the Canadian Army food services. Nellie retired with the rank of sergeant in 1969 and received the Confederation Canada medal.
In retirement, Nellie and Albert enjoyed gardening, dancing, and travelling throughout Canada and the USA. Nellie loved sparkly clothing and jewelry. She often entertained family and friends, which usually included a large, delicious home- cooked meal.
Nellie was predeceased by her parents Maxim and Anna Kozun; husband Albert Bradley (1993); infant son Donald (1947); brothers Mike, Anthony, Peter, William, John, Nick, and Terry; sisters Mary, Sophie, Pearl, Ann, and Katie.
