1951 - 2015
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family after a brief illness on August 2, 2015 at Health Sciences Centre. Leo Molloy of Cape Broyle age 63, formerly of Portugal Cove South. Leo is predeceased by his father Albert and mother-in-law Maggie O’Brien. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of fond memories is his wife Marlie (O’Brien), mother Anastasia of Trepassey, daughters Leona Molloy (Troy) St. John’s, and Christine Whalen (Rick) Moncton, NB, stepdaughters Lisa Hunt (Jerry) Labrador City, Cheryl Bonia (Jason) St. John’s, Nancy O’Brien (Tony) C.B.S. Brother Gary Molloy, sisters Bertha Hartery (Bill), Valerie Kielley (Brian) Portugal Cove South, Shirley Dean (Aloysius), Anne Bennett (Kevin), Donna Pike (Bill) Trepassey. Poppy Leo will also be fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren Serena and Charlotte Whalen, Haley Ryan, Anna and Jason Bonia. Leo will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Leo will be dearly missed by special friends Dion Carew, Randy Hawkins, Albert Lawlor, Donnie Cody and Bill Murphy as well as the O’Brien and Conway families and his Canadian Coast Guard friends and colleagues. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trespassey from 2:00 -9:00 pm on August 4, 2015 and Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls from 2:00-9:00 pm on August 5, 2015. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 6 at 11: 00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Cape R.C. Cemetery, Cape Broyle. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
