It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Keating announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by her four sons: Colin (Iona) of Edmonton, Richard of Edmonton, Glen of Stephenville, Kenneth (Melinda) of Stephenville, her two daughters Julia Keating Brown (Gordon) of Ottawa, Terri Keating (Rosaire Cote) of Stephenville. Also leaving to mourn her brother Leo Alexander of Toronto and her sister Cecilia Root of Michigan, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Florence and John Alexander, her husband Richard, her son Bill Keating, her daughter Glenda Keating, her brothers Norman, Bernard, Archie, Brendan and her sisters Evelyn, Mary and Vivian. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Russell's Funeral Home in Stephenville. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10 am from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
