Anthony (Tony “Taz”) Collins

Anthony (Tony “Taz”) Vance Collins
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anthony (Tony “Taz”) Vance Collins, age 52, of Amherst announce his sudden passing.

Born in Amherst, he was a son of Robert and Janice (Delahunt) Collins of Maccan, NS.
Tony had a passion for vehicles and took great pride in keeping his cars looking sporty and spotless. He enjoyed off-roading as well, whether on a four-wheeler or dirt bike and loved all kinds of music, the louder the better. They say a man’s best friend is his dog and this rang true for Tony; he had a special bond with all animals that came into his life, especially his late dogs, Bryson and Gunner. Tony also had a number of very special people in his life, including his friend and cousin Jim Stanley, his daughter, Allie Lee, who he was so proud of and his late great aunt Elsie.
Besides his parents and daughter, he is survived by one brother Nick (Mallory) of Moncton, NB and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tony was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Harry and Frances Dunlop and maternal grandparents Vance and Dorothy Delahunt and his aunt Marilyn Delahunt.
“Finally at peace with his two boys Bryson and Gunner.”
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 2 – 4 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
