It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley, beloved wife of Harvey Ross. She passed away peacefully at Parkside Extendicare, where she had resided for two weeks. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Percy and Henrietta Douglas of Moose Jaw; and all of her brothers and sisters Percy, Clifford and Wally Douglas of Moose Jaw, Doris Western of Vancouver and Irene Ward of Moose Jaw. She is survived by her loving husband Harvey of 67 years; children Terry (Gayle) Ross of Saskatoon, Ken of Calgary and Karen (Dave) Bone of Regina; grandchildren Dale Ross, Heather Isidoro, Jennifer Parenteau, Leslie Ross, Taylor Ross, Eric Bone and Kelsey Bone; great-grandchildren Oakley of Saskatoon, Lyndon, Jamison and Kellen of Shaunavon, Lydia, Audrey and Cora of Calgary; sister-in-law Isabelle Ross of Moose Jaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was proud of pioneer heritage from her parents who came from England to Moose Jaw in 1903. She enjoyed curling in the grandmothers bonspiels in Saskatoon, as well as volunteering with the Canadian Club and TOPS in Regina. Shirley was an avid knitter always keeping her children and grandchildren in mitts, toques and afghans. She also enjoyed many vacations with Harvey some of which include cruising the Caribbean, Panama, Alaska and visiting Europe. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare South Wing for all the care and compassion they provided during the last few weeks. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the charity of your choice.
