Passed peacefully away on October 6, 2015 at the Palliative Care unit, L.A. Miller Centre, surrounded by her loving family, Maisie Vater, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her parents, Hubert and Maude Peddle, husband George, two brothers Harvey and Jim Peddle; Sister Maxine Pinsent. Leaving to mourn her daughters Linda Langmead (Bill) and Donna Crocker (Gary); four grandchildren Cheryl Furlong (Neil); Roy Langmead (Annette); Gary Crocker (Elizabeth) and Scott Crocker (Sherry); 8 great-grandchildren Justin and Mark Furlong, Cody and Courtney Langmead, Morgan and Ryan Crocker, Benjamin Reddy and Summer Crocker; two sisters Gloria Lewis (Derek) and Frances Sansome (Cliff, deceased); brother, Doug Peddle (Charlotte); Also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Karen Lake, Dr. Michael Hogan and staff of the Palliative Care Unit for the care and support shown to our "Mom" during her stay there. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, with visitation from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 7th and from 10-12 noon, 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, October 8th, and from 10-12 noon Friday, October 9th. Funeral Service to take place on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Bauline Line, Pouch Cove.
