Noel Linus Alchorn

The death occurred with family at his side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, Thursday, October 8, 2015 of Noel Linus Alchorn, formerly of Rocky Point, in his 84th year.
Left to mourn is his loving wife, Louise (nee MacKenzie) Alchorn, children Karen (Robert Weir) of Charlottetown, Roland of Rainbow Lake, Alberta, Gail Johnston (James) of Canoe Cove, Susan Gregory (Wendell) of Charlottetown, Lynn (Kevin McGuirk) of Rocky Point, Kevin (Nancy Deacon) of Rocky Point. Grandfather of Natasha Snyder (Ronald), Christopher Wood (Jennifer Power), Cathy MacIntyre, Alexis Alchorn (Nick Martin) of Edmonton, Alberta, Kelly Johnston, Brodie Johnston (Jessie), Tyler Gregory (Jessica), Colby Gregory, Benjamin Gagnon (Michelle Chavelier) of Kingville, Ontario, Alana Alchorn, Jackolyn Gallant (Terry Walsh), Brent Gallant (Jessica) of South Carolina; as well as seven great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn him is his sister, Audrey Mellan, of Carleton Place, Ottawa, sisters-in-law, Ruth Birt (Everett) and Eleanor Cameron, brother-in-law, Andrew Gilbert. He was predeceased by his first wife Joyce (nee Gilbert) Alchorn and his parents Roland and Margaret Alchorn.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Francis of Assissi, Cornwall at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Martins of Tours Cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Branch #30 will hold a prayer service prior to the visitation at 5:30 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Centre would be appreciated.
