LANGILLE, Dorothy (Dot) Elaine, 88, of Lockeport, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Roseway Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in West Green Harbour, Shelburne County and was the daughter of the late Donald and Penina (Thorburn) Williams. In her younger years Dot was a school teacher, and also a caregiver at Roseway Hospital and Surf Lodge Nursing Home in Lockeport. She cherished time spent with her family and friends. Dot loved and supported her family unconditionally and had a special relationship with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid supporter of the Lockeport Greenwave Basketball Teams and could be found in her familiar seat at center court. Dot is survived by her son, Arnold (Vida) Bridgewater, daughters Wendy, Canada Hill, Marlene (Mike) MacLeod, Allendale, Patti (Archie) Hutchison, Halifax; sister Mona (Frank) Willis, Dartmouth, brother Rupert (Betty) Williams, Lockeport; grandchildren, Jeff (Vica) Peterson, Stacy Peterson, Wendy (Mike MacIsaac) Hutchison; step-grandchildren Michelle Rogers and Melissa MacLeod; great-grandchildren Abby Peterson, Hunter MacIsaac and Brody Peterson; step great-grandchildren Jonah and Max Rogers. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Langille, sisters Verlie, Kathleen, Eleanor, brothers Laurie, Arnold, Keith, and Stanley; also numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14 in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport with Pastor Tim Garren officiating. Burial will take place at the Lockeport Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Baptist Church Vestry. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport and Area First Responders or charity of choice.
