WOOD, Margaret Mary – age 94, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, formerly of Tusket, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 27, 1921 in Hubbard’s Point, she was a daughter of the late Liboire Joseph and Madelaine Margaret (Doucet) Hubbard. Margaret was a homemaker and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur Wood, two babies and brothers Ernie and Anthony Hubbard. She is survived by sons, Donald and Bill (Cecile), as well as by a grandson Michael Wood; sisters, Madeline Moulaison, Octovie Babin, Mary Rose Muise and a brother, George Hubbard. Visitation took place from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, November 26 at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, followed by a funeral mass at 2:30 p.m., Thursday in Saint Anne’s Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Albeni d’Entremont and Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiated. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Tri-County Site of the VON or to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
