Carol LeBlanc

With sadness in our hearts, but admiration for her strength to courageously fight a seven month battle with brain cancer we announce the passing of Carol Anne LeBlanc on November 26, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born June 1, 1949 in Amherst, NS she is the daughter of Louise (Burbine) LeBlanc and the late Clarence (Jude) LeBlanc.
Following graduation Carol worked in Moncton and Frederiction, NB as a draftsmen then moved to Calgary AB then she returned to Amherst after a 20 year carreer with Esso Resources as an electrical Draftsmen. She was presently employed at Advantage Communications as a dedicated employee at the time of her illness and she loved her work.
Besides her mother she is survived by one sister Germaine Perry (Roger), one special niece Lisa and her husband Kurt Fawthrop. She will be very much missed by numerous cousins and several life long friends and co-workers.
The family wishes to express the profound gratitude to Dr. Dean Harrison, Dr. Keith Short and Dr. Brian Ferguson of Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, along with the nurses and staff for the compassion and love shown to Carol. She will be remembered for her quiet personality and warm smile.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude for the incredible love, strength and kindness shown to us by relatives and friends who supported us throughout her illness.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS. 902-667-9906.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Interment will take place in the St. Charles – Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire memorial donations would be very much appreciated to Palliative Care Unit at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or the Amherst Food Assistance Network.
