Passed in: Sydney
Passed on: November 26th, 2015

Linda Ann Ellsworth, 66, of Glace Bay passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with her husband, Ivan and daughter, Michelle by her side.
Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Roach and Mary Roach (Cameron).
She will be dearly missed by her husband Ivan; daughters, Michelle (Keith) and Natasha and her granddaughters, who were her pride and joy, Madison and Payton. She is also survived by her loving brother, John Roach.
She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Roach and sister, Shirley Maclean (Roach).
Linda’s passion was taking care of her family and looking out for anyone who was in need. Countless times she cared for family members when they became ill and did so with a compassion that was unmatched by any other. Her strength and support will never be forgotten. Her care and concern for others did not stop with her family; she was known to take in neighbourhood kids to give them a hot meal and lend a sympathetic ear while comforting them. She loved her dog Sammy, whom she cherished as her fur baby for 10 years. Linda enjoyed spending many summer days on her boat swing in the backyard donned with patio lights while listening to her favourite artists, Conway Twitty and Patsy Cline.
Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1st for family only at Curry’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Glace Bay. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating.
We would like to thank the ICU staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to Doctor Kevin McNeil, we are forever grateful for your care and compassion. Finally, a special thank you to Kerri Bryden-MacDonald, (Linda’s favourite nurse) for so lovingly, going above and beyond for Linda and her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the Cape Breton Branch of the SPCA.
“When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong, just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose”
"Until we meet again, we hope there is music and a rocking chair with your name on it, in Heaven."
