JACKLYN, Evelyn “Jane”, 81, Shelburne, passed away peacefully in Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport on Monday, January 25, 2016. Born in Shelburne, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Jacklin. Jane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a foster mom for many years. She enjoyed flowers, plants, knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid Blue Jay fan. She also enjoyed reading. Jane is survived by sons, Tom (Bridget); Gary (Jennifer); daughters, Theresa (Bob); Nancy; Pat (Chris); Pam (Peter); sisters, Ernestine and Jean; grandchildren, Michael, Bobbi Lynn, Chantal, Travis, Alicia, Danielle, Jacklyn, Shyla, Brandon, Kole, Caleb, Quinton; 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace; sisters, Eileen, Clara and Catherine. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, January 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson`s Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 30, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Surf Lodge Nursing Home and Dr. Riley for their compassionate care of mom while she was a resident, also Beatrice Davis who cared for mom prior to her stay at Surf Lodge.
