We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Robert John 'Bobby' MacLeod, 80 years of age on Feb. 1, 2016 at Buchanan Memorial Hopsital.
Bobby was born in Cape North, N.S. to the late John D. and Catherine Effie MacLeod on Oct. 13, 1935.

Bobby was a well respected man in his community and beyond. He was a dedicated employee of C.B. Highlands National Park for 47 years where he told stories and shared many laughs with his life long friend Rory MacLeod.
Bobby enjoyed being at home in his rocking chair by the wood stove, drinking tea, surrounded by his loving family and his dog by his side. Bobby looked forward to spring, a time when he would prepare the ground for gardening. With his wife by his side, they spent many hours tending to the garden which grew bountiful crop that he shared with his family and friends.
A special thank you to his childhood friend and best man, Donald MacLeod. The family would also like to express thanks for the excellent care provided by the doctors, nurses and staff at Buchanan Memorial, Continuing Care Nurses and his Palliative Care Nurse.
Condolences and memories may be shared at Aspy Bay United Church on Friday Feb. 5, from 11a.m.-2 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Margie Wood officiating. Interment at Aspy Bay Cemetary immediately thereafter.
"God looked around his garden and he found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best."
