Marguerite lived for 72 years on the family farm in Bayview where she worked side by side with her husband, always grew a vegetable garden and maintained a lovely large flower garden. In whatever spare time she had after caring for her three children, she loved to do all types of needlework and crafts including knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitch and quilting. Marguerite had an entrepreneurial spirit and started hosting tourists in 1968, at which she was very successful. She was active in the Cavendish community her whole life being a member of the Cavendish United Church, UCW, Institute and supporting other community events with her time and baking until she was 92. She was a kind, caring hardworking mother and in later years she enjoyed the laughter and company of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also liked to travel and spent many winters with her family in Calgary and Fredericton before returning home to Bayview for the summer months. She was the heart and soul of our family home and will be sadly missed by all.
