The family of Ronald H. Brett, would like to announce his sudden passing at the Royal University Hospital on April 28, 2016 at the age of 64. He will be remembered by his parents, family and friends. He is survived by parents Lot and Leah Brett; brothers Pearce, Barry (Jennifer) Howard (Jen); sisters Jane (Willie), Pauline, Carolyn (Marshall) and Janice; seven nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews and numerous friends in Prince Albert. He is predeceased by one brother Larry at age 13 months. He will be missed by Nancy and her family. Ron was born in Joe Batts Arm, NL and finished school at the age of 16. He went to Memorial University Summer School for two summers and taught school for two years. He left NL at age 19 and started work with the Hudson Bay Company in Cumberland House. He later moved to Prince Albert and lived there until his death. He volunteered with many organizations such as the Salvation Army and the Indian and Metis Friendship Centre. He also refereed hockey. Ron loved to meet friends and play cards. Cremation has taken place. His ashes will be taken to his home town for burial at a later date.
