It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Bennett announce his passing on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He will be greatly missed by his 8 sons: David Jr., Ches, Bill (Dana), Roger (Selina), Lennie (Pam), Jamie (Victor), Dwayne and Jody (Chantelle); his 5 daughters: Tammie (Murdock), Lisa (Dylmer), Tina (Peter), Kathy (Greg) and Dianna (Scott); sisters: Ruth (George), Alice (Bill) and Ruby; brothers: Cecil (Florence), Gordon (Maisie), Leslie (Marie), Verdon (Inez) and Fred (Hilda). David will be greatly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Anthony (Karen) and Leonard; sisters-in-law Bev and Lila (Doug); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Melissa (January 25, 2016); son Gregory Dean (2001); parents William and Ethel; sister Lily May; brothers William, Alex, and his brother-in-law Leland. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at the Non-Denominational Cemetery, Batstone's Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
