It is with great sadness that the family of the late Loretta Gardiner announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother Richard in Stephenville Crossing, her sister Pauline (Pat) Sharpe in Stephenville Crossing, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Lucy Ann Gardiner, her brothers Reginald, Jim, Ray and Clarence, her sisters Mary Susan, Jane, Margaret and Sister Imelda Gardiner. In keeping with Loretta's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at 10 a.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with Father Edmund Dantés officiating. Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Brook Street. The family will be receiving friends at Russell's Funeral Home, Station Road in Stephenville Crossing on Friday May 6th, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
