Brandyn Mitchell Cavanaugh

Brandyn Mitchell Cavanaugh – 22, Truro, passed away suddenly doing what he loved to do on June 26, 2016.
Born in Truro and worked as a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union (Local 409). Brandyn also worked as a carpenter alongside of his father, Randy. Brandyn had a passion for BMX, Motorcross, Streetbikes as well as Snowboarding. He enjoyed being around kids, as well as animals, in particular his puppy, Krew. Brandyn was a talented cook and enjoyed sharing his skill with others. He received awards for his artwork, an interest that he had a great love for. Brandyn was a high energy guy who was well loved by all and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Brandyn leaves behind his father, Randy (Vicki) Cavanaugh; mother, Sherri (Warren) Benoit; girlfriend, Ceanna Mardian; sisters, Maddie Cavanaugh, Mirandya Cavanaugh, Nichole Bryson, Brittany (Jon) Brown, Sammy Winters, Jenny Baines, Becky (Brandon) Baines; brothers, Dylan and Joshua Benoit; grandparents, Claudia Cavanaugh, Edward and Sylvia Hatch, Finton and Irene Benoit; great grandmother, Annie Rennie. Brandyn is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by grandfather, Leonard Cavanaugh as well as great grandfather, Gerald Rennie.
Visitation for Brandyn will be held on Wednesday, June 29 from 6-9pm with a Celebration of his Life on Thursday, June 30 at 2pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. (In honour of Brandyn and how he lived his life, wear bright colours, please and all bikes are welcomed) A Reception will follow. Interment will take place in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Donations in Brandyn’s memory may be made to the Truro Skate Park or to the SPCA.
