The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, of Verna Bulman (nee Coles), beloved wife of the late John Bulman, formerly of Greenvale, aged 89. Verna was the loving mother of Clayton Coles (Joyce); grandmother of Trent Coles, Caroleen Coles, Brad Coles (Kari) and Melda Stevenson (Lloyd); and great-grandmother of Brandon, Declyn, Emma, Cohen and Miley Stevenson; and Ben and Nicholas Coles. She is also survived by her sisters, Marjorie Laird (Eric) and Elsie Barrett; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband, John, Verna was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Millicent Coles; sisters, Fern Younker (Lowell) and Rena Bryenton (Allison); brother, Harvey Coles (Alecia); and brother-in-law, Sterling Barrett. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, July 3, 2016, from 2 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. The funeral will be held following the visitation, in the Funeral Home Chapel, at 3:30 p.m. Interment in Hunter River United Church Cemetery.
