It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Malcom Knott at the age of 88 years, surrounded by his loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on July 21, 2016. Predeceased by his first wife Irene, mother and father Amelia and James Knott, brother Ben Knott (Bessie), sisters Dorothy Roberts (Harry), Ruby Galway and Elaine Sheppard (Tony). Leaving to mourn a loving wife Barbara Ann Knott (Williams). He will be greatly missed by his dearly loved daughters Bonnie Williams (Wayne), and Sharon Knott (Chris Smith) and son Tommy (Robyn), sister Mary Blanchard (Walter), and grandchildren Corey Smith, Gus Williams, James Knott, Evan Smith, Jacob Knott and Angela Knott. Also leaving to mourn his wife Barbara Anne's children Kathy Hickman, Shawn Williams, Glenn Williams (Kathy), Craig (Denise) and grandchildren Lee, Mark, Simone and Jonah. He will also be dearly remembered by his brother-in-law Cyril Galway, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tom treasured his time with family and friends who are blessed with many special memories of this loving man. A special thank-you is extended to the nursing staff at Health Sciences Complex and Dr. Greenland and Dr. Organ and their teams for their outstanding care. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, July 23th from 7-9 pm and Sunday, July 24th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral services to be held at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Kiwanis Street (off Kenmount Road) on Monday, July 25 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to either the NL Down Syndrome Society or to the St. John's Shrine Club Patient Transportation Fund in recognition of Tom's involvement with Mazol Shriners and Masonic Whiteway Lodge No. 8, St. John's.
