With devastated hearts we announce the passing of Vera Helen Ellsworth (Tulk) on July 26, 2016, in her 79th year. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Amelia Tulk; brothers: Walter, Garland, Ralph, Clayton, Ken, Stan, Bill and Tom; and sisters: Eunice and Dorcas. Left to mourn with many wonderful memories is the family to whom she had devoted her life: daughter Wavy (Rick Baldwin); sons: Garland (Annette), Gene (Hilda Hearn), Eric (Lorna) and Ron (Paula); grandchildren: Mackenzie Wellon (Maizie), Maurice Wellon (Natasha), BJ Scott (Lisa Mallard), Shauna, Garrett, Jessica and Jarrell Ellsworth, Barbara Hearn, Megan Lambert, Jessica (Peter Hojsan), Erica Ellsworth, Michael, Stephanie, Maria and Christine Ellsworth; great-grandchildren: Cody, Samantha and Parker Wellon, Alyssa, Faith and Luke Wellon, Freya Gagnon (Ellsworth) and baby Hojsan expected in January, and great-great-grandchild Sophia Wellon. Also leaving her sisters: Shirley Easton and Rosie (Roland Payne); brother Ben Tulk (Verna); sisters-in-law: Hilda, Bernice and Betty Tulk; as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by many for the meals she cooked, the quilts she crocheted, and the spare room that she happily offered to anyone who needed it. Visitation will take place from 4-9 pm on Thursday, July 28, and from 12-9 pm on Friday, July 29, at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. She will then return home to Aspen Cove where she was born and raised, for visitation at Bethel United Church on Saturday, July 30 from 2 pm onwards, and on Sunday, July 31. Funeral service will take place from Bethel United Church on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 3 pm, with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Aspen Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Vera's memory may be made to Bethel United Church, Main Road, Aspen Cove, NL, A0G 1A0.
