1933-2016
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre following a brief illness and in the presence of her loving family, Bride Connolly of Roaches Line (formerly of Conche, Nl) aged 82 years. Bride was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Mary Whelan, her husband Thomas W. Connolly, her brothers Michael and William Whelan, and her grandson Luke. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Nora, Colin (Betty Ann), Michelle (Tom), and Mary (Warren); her beloved grandchildren Courtney, Brittany, Ashley, Crystal, Victoria, Olivia, Emily and Blake and her great grandchildren Claire, Alex, Lucas, and Abigail; her sisters Sr. Maureen Whelan (Presentation Order) and Susan (John) Bromley; her brothers James (Cheryl) and Nick, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus, visitation to take place on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Brigus. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic, a cause dear to her heart.
