BRENDA LORRAINE MacNICHOL
It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Lorraine MacNichol, age 64, of Digby County, announces her passing on August 20, 2016, at QEII, Halifax. Born on July 19, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy and Paul MacNichol. Brenda’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she was very proud of her daughter, Shila. Hers was a generous, loving and caring spirit – making her unforgettable, a true angel who has now gone home. Predeceased by two brothers, Ricky and David, this very special woman is survived by her loving partner, Bo Travis, who brought her so much happiness through their shared passion for music and doing things together as a loving couple; daughter Shila, Pittsburgh, USA, and grandchildren, Aryaana and Czcarra; brother, Kevin (Shelly) of Edson, Alberta; sister, Holly, Bear River East. She will be sadly missed by nieces, Elana, Jasmine, Amy; nephews Adam, Dane and all her extended family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm on Monday September 5 on the riverside park lawns in the Village of Bear River, (behind the Royal Canadian Legion). Celebrant, Diane Axent will officiate. Following, in honor of a woman who loved friends and family, everyone is invited to celebrate Benda’s life at a potluck picnic with music, song and dance. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed as well as personal cards may be sent to Bo. The family would like to thank the Bear River and Digby communities for their continued love and support as Brenda bravely faced her illness with faith she’d bounce back enough to keep on dancing – and she always tried her best to do so. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Leave condolences at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com.
