Theresa Cantwell
With deep sorrow we regret to announce the passing of our mother, Theresa May (Dawe) Cantwell, 86, at her residence in Florence, surrounded by her family. Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Sarah and Charles Dawe. She was a lifetime member of St. Stephen’s Church in Florence, until its closure, then moving to Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Donna (Byron) Stubbert, Joanne (Hugh) MacDonald; sons, Daniel (Linda) and Percy (Gloria). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Raylene, Nicole, Miranda and Craig. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Keith; son, Frankie and grandson, Keith MacDonald.
She was also predeceased by her sisters, Nell (Carl), Marie, Pauline and Gladys (Art); brothers, Tom, Joseph, Andrew (Babe), Charlie (Shirley), Mike (Hilda), Billy, Callaghan, Freemen (Ethel) and Harold (Genevieve).
Visitation for Theresa Cantwell will be Tuesday August 30 2016 from, 2-4 and 7-9, in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church, with Fr. Jim Oliver presiding. Burial in St. Stephen’s cemetery, with Reception to follow at St. Stephen’s Hall in Florence.
